SmallRig HawkLock Quick Release Advanced Cage Kit (4539) is a premium camera rig designed for creators needing fast setup/teardown, comfort for handheld work, and extensive accessory compatibility for Sony’s A7R V, A7 IV, and A7S III bodies.
The cage envelops the camera with a strong yet lightweight frame built from aluminum alloy, stainless steel and silicone components. The patented HawkLock mechanism enables you to slide in and lock accessories (top handle, side handle, cage itself) with ease — no fiddling, no loose parts.
For monitoring, an adjustable arm allows tilting up/down and rotating fully so that the screen is always visible, whether shooting from a low angle or overhead. The HDMI cable clamp secures your cable to prevent accidental bumps or strain on the port, which is especially useful in dynamic shooting setups.
Control access is preserved: the cage is form-fitting so that camera buttons, hot shoe, battery door modifications are accounted for (some setup steps needed, e.g. removing the anti-deflection pin and strap/hook in certain positions). The array of mounting points gives you flexibility to build your rig the way you want — attach microphones, LED lights, monitors, grips, straps, etc.
