The SmallRig Half Cage (3639) is a form-fitting, aluminum half cage designed for hybrid shooters. It perfectly preserves the bare camera's natural grip and button access while providing essential mounting points and structural protection.
Retains the original camera’s ergonomic grip while adding protection and mounting points – ideal for shooters who want minimal bulk but essential expansion.
Prevents twist and deflection using a 1/4"-20 screw and side locking plate, with silicone padding to protect the camera body. 1/4"-20 & ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, cold shoes for attaching top handles, side grips, monitor mounts, microphones, or LED lights – versatile for run‑and‑gun or studio rigs.
Directly mounts to Arca‑type tripods and DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro stabilizers for seamless switching between handheld, gimbal, and tripod. Tool‑free assembly/disassembly. Optional HDMI cable clamp (sold separately, compatible with select models) ensures stable data transmission during recording.
