The Godox ML40Bi / ML40R is a compact 40W portable LED video light designed for photographers, videographers, vloggers, content creators and mobile filmmakers. Its palm-sized body makes it easy to carry while still providing powerful, controllable continuous lighting.
The ML40Bi is the bi-color version, offering a 2800K–6500K color temperature range for easy matching with different ambient lighting conditions. The ML40R adds full-color creative lighting with an extended 1800K–10,000K range, making it ideal for colorful backgrounds, mood lighting, special effects and creative video production.
Both models feature a built-in rechargeable battery with approximately 42 minutes of runtime at full brightness and support USB-C charging. They can also be operated while connected to a suitable power source, making them practical for longer shooting sessions.
For greater intensity and a more focused beam, the optional ML-L10 Lens Reflector can dramatically increase output. Godox states that it can boost the ML40Bi's brightness by up to 24× and the ML40R by up to 16× compared with bare output.
The ML40Bi and ML40R also feature built-in magnetic mounting, a 1/4"-20 mounting thread and compatibility with the Godox Mount accessory ecosystem, giving creators multiple ways to position and shape their light.
